Erosion
-Erosion is defined as the removal of soil, sediment, and rock fragments from land
-Erosion is what creates hills and valleys.
-Removes sediments from areas.
Deposition
- Deposition occurs when the river, glacier, or sea is no longer able to carry its load for some reason.
-Rock particles that are picked up and transported by rain, or other things that cause erosion, will be transfered somewhere else, and agents of erosion become agents of deposition.
-The end of deposition usually occurs in the mouth of a river where it carries sediments.
How they're the Same
Deposition is the transportation of sediments from one place to another caused by erosion agents (rain, wind, etc.). Erosion is the removal of sediments transferred somewhere else in it's natural environment. So, both of these processes are basically doing the same thing.
